Zone Damper
Our oil burner makes our house toooooo hot!?
We have an area of the oil at home 2. Everything was great until this winter when it seems to have left the deep end. When my mother, who is on top, turn the heat to 64 years and ours, it settled on 66, we have lots of heat coming into the first floor and before you know, its 74 degrees on the main floor. We never have to turn our heat on the stairs, never. Sometimes we have to turn off the system and open the window. Soon my mother is cold and we're still very hot. I know that some should escape the heat in the first floor while the heat moves up there, but this problem is new. I do not want a service call if its something simple, my husband mechanic can adjust if told what to do. Otherwise, I will ask Tueaday. I think the power off and on all isn't good day for it. Bad thermostat? Damper stuck?? Thank you in advance for your answers !!!!! Happy New Year!
It could be poor control area or when it was installed properly connected. Sounds like the damper does not close down, when there is a call to the floor heat. If your husband is not aware with 24v controls and how to solve so I would say its better that you call a tech to come look.
