What air purifier you recommend?
I had three Sharper Image Ionic Breeze purifiers, but all three have erupted within one month of use (they started to produce both static and I could hear them from outside). I also Purifier UVC Air and lamp Himalayan salt, but I'm frankly not sure it is nothing at all. Does anyone know a good, reliable, filter Efficient air? I have two cats and I live in the city, then between the scales and the air pollution around here less than perfect. I noticed a huge difference when the clearest picture were working, but after three defective products I'm tired of giving them another chance. The Suggestions?
Jason, you must be careful with anything that produces "ions". This is done by exposing a negative electrode to a current air. A byproduct of that ozone, which is a powerful irritant that can contribute to the development of allergy. These types of devices should not be used while you are in the room. While I have an Ionic Breeze, I run 8:00 p.m. to 5:00, when we are not likely to be in the kitchen. He did an excellent job in removing cooking odors and much trash! The good side of the ozone generation is that it reacts with organic materials to break them. This includes volatile compounds, exhaust, and dander. First, I advised to use a Hoover vacuum cleaner bags with allergen filtration. This is a bag bigger than HEPA, but because it captures no micro-dust, the suction is strong, longer. The result is a carpet cleaner and floor well over time. Secondly, the air purifier Oreck is probably the best on the market. It does not produce ozone in the room to get rid of organic matter, but it has a secondary grid to reduce excess ozone down. It has a fan, which means it turns on the air more often and the breeze. It also uses much less electricity a HEPA fan. My parents have two and I can always tell when it is lit. The air quality is good. The ions will fall to the floor stuff. And a good vacuum will help you remove it from your household. They had two for about four years now and have no problems.
