Ultrasonic Mini
I have a mini dachshund who barks when my neighbors come and go from their apartment. How can I be arrested?
I tried a device ultrasound, but it does not seem to affect --
squirt water. it works! sorry i could not say earlier .... I ring like a tyrant. Here's what we did .... We have an apartment building in which we live and we have seven dogs. I know that this problem only too well. Whenever I heard a door close, I prepare for the onslaught of barking. But we have overcome and you can too! When I say "squirt with water "I'm talking about a bottle of plants typical spray or even a small water pistol, not the hose. I use it as a punishment. I used to draw their attention to the barking stops long enough for them to hear my instructions. So I do not need to shout "Enough!" I can tell them a normal tone of voice, and they know that I have things under control. You need not be carried away. But you do not need to reassure your little boy that you care and it need not be. You can do this by stating your position alpha with a calm attitude and strong. After a few days with the squirter, I did not even have to fill the bottle with more water. I just take the bottle and they were all closed immediately. I can even just make a good spray and they listen. After years of doing this with my children, I caught an episode of this type Dog Whisperer on TV and I was delighted to see that it does exactly the same as for his attention to his dogs. My tenant has four chihuahuas bottom that used to bark at the wind! She marveled at how my bag behaved when she came, I showed her the spray bottle and should be got one because I did not hear barking since. I'm not joking when I say that it works. The worst thing you can do is positively reinforced behavior. If you stroke in order to calm him, he feels he is rewarded and behavior will continue. When he stops barking, then reward with affection. The positive reinforcement of behavior with love and treats, and try the water method. You and your puppy and your neighbors will be much happier.
