Titan Tankless
Anyone who had a tankless water heater blow up due to power failures?
I can not believe it. I just got a water heater Titan Tankless three months ago. This work was fine. Then suddenly after a certain number of outages on the heater triggered breaker line. I reset (while I still had a tap) and I heard a loud bang. I got about 15 minutes hot water before jumping in the breaker again. Then, the reset has been popping sparks everywhere. What is the problem? Is this a sign of bad or a bad unit? They send me a new but I fear it will be just another failure, or worse. Thank you for any help.
Certainly sounds as intrinsically safe or not limited to your device, these units are UL, but I ended might think it was a control malfunction which hopefully should not happen again. I read the specifications on such units and they require a minimum GPM water in the tank for the circuits of the heat, perhaps you could hire a company plumbing to verify the flow of new water tank for the peace of mind.
