Rinnai water heater tankless TCO - level of maintenance required?
I just had an installer do a survey the site of my house to get a quote for installing a water heater Rinnai tankless natural gas water. They said Rinnai requires more maintenance than a hot water tank and can have small filters are blocked. They suggested I subscribe to the routine maintenance program. Does anyone have any experience with blockages of a Rinnai, and if so how often?
I am not a fan heater tankless water. It could be that the rate could exceed the capacity of heating unit if multiple uses of hot water were active at a time. Calculation using the BTU heat output of the furnace, will show how much water can be drawn before the flow exceeds the capacity of the heater.
