Filtrete Ultra
Tuesday, December 7th, 2010Can I use a 1250 Ultra Allergen Filtrete 3m filter in a furnace at high speed?
I had a problem last night. I came home after a week with my new Honeywell programmable thermostat 8500 and the oven does not work as it was supposed to be. The last error on the oven was a mistake to air inducer. Is it possible that new algorithm has the thermostat oven cycles per minute more than my previous cheapo Honeywell thermostat? I read the manual on the furnace and he said to use "high speed" filter only. I thought most of the CPM combined with the wrong filter may have caused the furnace pressure to become imbalanced. After I reset the oven, everything worked very well today. I do not see "high speed "anywhere on the 3m 1250 microns. It is said that" the reduction filter.
I would use a smaller micron in your application. The allergen filter 1250 caused me problems with the systems of most customers who have installed them. Once removed and a little less micron filter is used, all problems went away. high-speed systems are very sensitive to air flow
