Central heat and air thermostat issue?

We have had central heating and air installed in our old house very Only a few months ago. The thermostat, a square face digital one, is on our kitchen wall. She, of course, has the temperature of the room. reading and in the upper left corner is the temperature outside. reading too. These two areas are empty this morning. We have changed the backup batterties AA and he raised the temperature of the room. on his face for a while, but now the two areas are empty again. We obviously could not perform HQ, even if we wanted if it could not detect the temperature of the room. Suggestions? We called the installer and well sure to get an answering service. With it being a weekend of three days, no doubt he will remember until Tuesday. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about digital thermostats?

The batteries in the thermostat does not run the system, they are used only if the electricity necessary to maintain the programmed instructions stored in memory before the thermostat temperature, compensation, time of day, etc. The thermostat receives its electrical power from the HVAC system. The typical thermostat controls the HVAC system at low voltage for safety, so that the HVAC system has a little transformer, which transforms the electrical power of about 24 volts, enough to shock anyone, or cause a spark that can ignite anything. Try the "FAN" ON ". If the fan starts, 24 volts is OK, and if it If you can have a bad thermostat. If the fan does not start, then you can have a bad transformer 24 volts, or a wiring problem with or the processor as it makes its way to the thermostat. If the thermostat, a replacement can be purchased from any hardware good store or building houses for about $ 30. They are not so difficult to install because the son is color coded. You will either have to know what type of system you, as a heat pump ", or" oil burner "of the system, etc., or you can take the old thermostat with you and the employees the store can sell you a suitable replacement. Good luck and stay warm / cold, depending.
