GE electric motor wiring?

I am trying to retro fit a GE electric motor on a compressor. The old motor is using standard single phase 240V, and the used motor I am looking at using is a GE model 5KC49PN0446X. This replacement motor has the same speed and HP as the old one, but I do not have the wiring diagrams on how to make the electrical connections since the wires do not have labels. The 4 wire colors on the new motor are Red, Red, Black and Yellow (Also, is this right for single phase? or is this 3-phase motor).

This is a single phase motor, the red and black winding leads are the start winding, the other two leads are the main windings. If the motor runs in the wrong diection, the start winding leads must be reversed. The wiring diagram should be on the label plate with the motor data on it where you got the motor number.
The wire colors you gave are not standard NEMA configuration, is it possible that one of the red leads is another color that has faded? or the lead was replaced? Use a continuity tester to identify the main winding, then the other two are the start winding.
