Temperature Sensor

could autozone check my temperature sensor even though thre are no check engine or other lights on? is thre any way to check the ignition module? those seem to be the best two leads i have on whats wrong with my car that is hard to start when warm but idles rough all the time. starts fine when cold. it is a olds alero V6 3.4 L. only has 40,000 miles.
