how to turn on my furnace blower with no heat to filter air?

I want to run my Rheem classic 90 furnace blower only. I have a large window air conditioner and want to filter the air and circulate it through my house. My daughter is 12 and has cancer and she has a hard time breathing with all the pollen outside but the dust in the house when its closed up is just as hard on her breathing.

Most applications would have a fan switch at the thermostat that would have a choice between "auto" or "on". If so, you simply put the switch on "on" and the fan will run continuously. If you do not have this type of switch, or if it is not hooked up, a jumper wire could be added on the low voltage control board in the furnace between terminal "R" and terminal "G". You can then replace a standard air filter with a high efficiency pleated air filter to get better air filtration.

As long as your duct work is sealed properly, running the furnace with a good filter should help.
