Monday, August 30th, 2010need help recovering data!?
I connected an old hard drive that contains valuable data the past, on my new computer. My Gard virus (Avira basis) detected more than 1000 viruses in it and quarantined. Now all data files this hard disk is not visible, but "properties" of HD shows fall very lil space used. I think the data are still there, the entrance doors are removed. Is it possible that I can retrieve them. I tried "Explorer" and "Surch" tools. nothing worked! plz help! Thank you!
Free, here's the best way to get some of your files back. 1.) Quit to use the hard drive IMMEDIATELY! Do not slide or create files on it. 2.) Download Recuva (www.piriform.com / Recuva) 3.) Install and run Recuva cons disk Good luck. You will not get all back, but at least you have some. If you all want to come back, you'll pay for a professional to do so, or a better program.
