How do I direct wire electric fan in 88 Cavalier?

I recently bought an 88 Cavalier. The electric fan is not working in it. I have replaced the sensors and tested the fan motor. All work but fan is still not running. I have now decided to wire the fan to a switch inside the car. What is the best way to do this without burning anything up? BTW, if it makes a difference it isthe 4 cyl. motor.

Wouldn't it be far easier to just replace the bad switch instead?
