Ton Heat Condenser

Need to replace my 10yr old Carrier heat pump system. This is for my upstairs level with about 1600-1800 SF. The current system is 2.5 ton which seems not adequate so I want to get 3 ton.
Contractor quoted me below system for around $6900 (and I could get $1500 back from Tax Credit):
Carrier Comfort 16 Series Heat Pump Condenser (25HCB636A003)
Carrier Air Handler (FV4CNF005T00) with WKF1002 Heat Strip
and Carrier 7 Day Programmable Thermostat (TP-PRH)
Questions are
1) Is it a good choice?
2) Price reasonable? (I am in DC area)
Feedback from someone with expertise/experience is highly appreciated.

Sounds like a good price. Get two other quotes from other dealers. Let them do a load analysis. Make sure you get a good warranty, and that the company answers the phone every time you call.
