Designer Series
Monday, August 15th, 2011What is the best software HOME DESIGN - BH & G Home Designer Pro 7 or Punch! Architectural Series 5000?
Suggestions for other programs would be awesome ... its just that these two seem to be the most popular on the net. I want to go below $ 200, but it seems that it is up to the range of $ 500 for the purpose of ultimate value. I want to design every aspect of a personalized service with ease (no bugs or inconsistencies), be informed of the costs, and a choice of construction products (ie noise barriers in walls or in the attic radiant barriers). I am more concerned about hardware options as something that is visually stunning and has a million different colors of wall painting from which to choose. Thank you.
There is not much praise for Punch 5000. Here's the general consensus among the reviewers, "AS 5000 offers little additional features and remains problematic and seriously flawed, especially when designing any building, even slightly non-traditional. Despite the wide range of features poorly documented and behaviors, you will be forced to compromise design, even if you critically comb through all the materials of instruction available as printed manuals, electronic aid program and tutorial videos, and Internet resources, including the University of perforation strongly Courses advertised online video. I can not recommend this software to any user. The entry-level users are better served by using one of the widely available cheap, low-end products to decide if the house design / CAD is for them or not. Once you've made the decision to make your own design and creation (and I would bet money that this would be the case for a small minority), Punch AS 5000 will quickly show its limitations for you, especially when all the non-conventional designs are concerned. If you are planning a conventional design, so why buy a top -end architectural CAD in the first place? "
