Who does a geyser decent (40 gal. Gas)?
Our Ruud Pacemaker geyser lasted an amazing 17 or 18 years, but finally begins to flow. I have seen charges of complaints about Ruud / Rheem water heaters. It seems around 1998 or 99, the quality was in the toilet so say. We are looking for another 40 gas water heater gallon. Who makes a decent. I would go with a snapshot, but I do not get the last word, and I do not want to stay here in this area longer than necessary. Who makes a decent heater?
All manufacturers of water heaters make good. The key is to know that the water heater manufacturers must follow strict safety guidelines very present. As part of this, you can not install and forget your water heater. If you perform maintenance, you can expect 15-20 years on the device. With regard to a tankless water heater goes, there are serious issues to consider. Yes, they do save energy because of the lack of efficiency and energy loss type hot water storage, but the changes needed can be very expensive. The gas line supplying your current water heater is very likely insufficient to supply the gas needs of a hot-on-demand. A water heater the application must heat the water passing through the heater, and takes 4-5 times the volume of gas required in a standard heater. The hot water on demand using less gases over time, but it uses much more when in use. Accordingly, the gas line will probably need to be changed. It is also possible that your existing gas meter will be updated. When ventilating a heater on demand, you must use special venting equipment. Because of the efficiency and exhaust temperature of the unit on demand, you'll condensation. The ventilation equipment can be expensive. If you live in a climate that the outside temperature can reach below 30F negative, you can not use an outside mounted unit, and ventilation will be necessary.
