Programable Thermostat
Thermostat will not stop the home heating?
Our NOMA 5 +1 +1 Programmable thermostat is set at 20. However, it continues to heat our house without stopping. We need to shut off the oven for the actual arrest. Repairers I spoke told to just buy a new one - I bought the Noma today and it still occurs. They will not help. What do I do?
If it's new, then I would almost bet that it hurts when cable being installed. All thermostats such as the one you describe are 4 points son lying inside the unit. These are marked with letters indicating what colored wire goes to which terminal. Y yellow, R for red and so on. Now, not every son thermostat located inside your walls the same color coding as the terminal your thermostat .. Some electricians use son of different colors other than those shown on your thermostat. This is really not a problem because a wire is a wire regardless of what color she has on her sheathing. The important thing is to score the son who graduated from the old thermostat so that the colr is good for the proper administration of the thermostat. Perhaps you may blue and white striped wire that went to the administration .... And if so, then it's the same place you have to put the wire on the programmable thermostat. If you need to decipher which wire goes to which terminal on the thermostat, you can check the coding practice on the controller when the wire is attatched to control the oven. Mark on a piece of paper that goes to the wire color coded terminal and copy the same impression on the thermostat. If this sounds confusing to you, then I suggest you contact a heating contractor come in and make a check on the thermostat wiring diagrams. It is also possible that the thermostat is faulty, or if the battery must be replaced on the programmer. Good luck in your business.
