How do I connect my 230v air compressor?
Hello novice confused here. I phase (230V 60Hz) Air Compressor I want to connect to my shop. The breaker box has three main cables connected to the line of breakers, so I think there are three phases. There are also a strip joint or neutral side of the box. I checked the voltage meter and any combination of two of the son gives me 208V. Tension of a circuit breaker gives me about 117V. My son has two engines, a white and black. My question is, can I connect both the son Motor circuit breaker on the same stage? This would give me on 236V single phase. Is this bad engine? I heard he might have difficulties in starting and eventually exhaustion professional. I am at a loss because I have read and heard all kinds of answers. Hopefully this is clear and thank you in advance!
what you need is an engine pH 3 work properly on the tension you have 208 ... your engine will run on that voltage, but the amp load will be higher that amps nominal, except that he says 208-230 volts .... eventually the engine will go down because of the 208 volt ... I would take the engine and go to a repair shop engine and see if I could not make them trade me a driver for it ... a single phase motor is more than an engine of 3 phases in the price ... It would also be preferable to control the motor with magnetic starter has overload its power to protect the engine ...
