What are the portable air conditioners like? Are they good?

I know that the evaporation of portable air conditioners are not all good. I been looking aircon 2.5 kw for our house. Our house is fairly small so it should work well. Can you tell me something about them? Or recommend any good brands? Thank you

Usually portable aircon has a large tube exhaust hot air like dry Tumber. The compressor is in room, so much noisier. The main drawback is that some portable aircon uses the air in the chamber to cool the condenser and the air flows heat through said discharge tube. Then you throw too much cold air, making it much more efficient. 2.5 kilowatts is about 30,000 BTUs, are you sure ABT that?
