Why is my air conditioner freeze with ice white under the air filter?

Air conditioners should not be like that, even with the temp to Coldest ... If it freezes inside then it must be something wrong with it ... Can someone tell me what the cause? Anyway Either my air conditioning is Jetcool LG, 12,000 BTU ...

"Air conditioners should not be like that, even with the temp to the coldest At low load or malfunction could be the cause, however, the setting of an air conditioner (ALL A / C) at its coldest setting is to invite evaporator to freeze. It has to do with the heat load too. Three suggestions: 1) Turn the t-stat. In addition, it is just a power switch. By turning "cold" when you want the temp to be "cool" will not cool the room quicker. 2) Make sure that unit can breathe. That means clean the filters and clean evaporator (inside) of the coil. Clean the outside it for good measure. 3) Make sure the camera can "throw" the air into the room and the return is not blocked. Your evaporator freezes if enough air Cold is back to the unit without entering the room far enough to mix with hot air. G'luck!
