Then I wind my portable air conditioner in the cold air returns, without adverse effects, central air TOTHE?
I have no window conveniently available and drilling through a wall is not an option ..... I do not want to damage my central air system. Any facility Heating and Cooling experts out there with good advice would be appreciated. It is a portable type air conditioner with the vent pipe not a window unit, my second floor doesn't get cool that I want is the reason .... Help!
No - do not do what you describe. The outside of the window unit will not have a way to remove hot air and you have no way to flow of condensate. You will create a nightmare. Why do you want a window unit if you have central air anyway?
