Need help understanding microstructure versus formability?
My company, in recent years has changed a process manufacturing of the tube by a process of brazing furnace with forced air cooling in a continuous process using induction brazing with pipe 300 'long water jacket cooling. The grain structure of the original product had a uniform appearance throughout the cross section. The grains were all together. We do matters forming the steel to low carbon flares. The induction of new process heaters with pipe provides cool a structure of grain has small grains to 1 / 2 cross section and large grains of the other 1 / 2. I'm no expert, but it obviously refers to the cooling tube different rates acrossed the tube wall. My question is, how this "dual" grain structure affect the formability? Our process has been ENDFORM significantly destabilized by this new process. We see the change of lot lot is crazy. Steel does not "Flow" consistently rounding for torch or batch to another. HELP.

I'm no expert, but I suppose your process variability to the process ENDFORM is due to variation intensity at the boundary of different grain structures.
