Attic Fan Installation - remove screen bug?

Hello, I intend to install a fan in the attic gable of my roof. Currently, there is a screen on the vent to keep insects / birds / bats, I suppose. Can I have the fan to blow across the screen or do I remove the screen? If I delete it, how can I-insects / birds / bats? Thank you!

While "Sprockets" fans are cheap and easy to pick up, they do not always match the triangular louvers supported by an existing stationary screen to prevent insects from your attic. You will not necessarily be a partial re-opening to eliminate the explosion (air back around the fan) In plants in general, I had to create a box that the fan (circle) mounted in this then attached to the different form of the pinion (triangle). The final opening (square or square centimeters.) Must be the opening of greator fan. (Xr square feet in inches or cm). This increase is to offset the drag of the screen and the usual fixed exterior shutters. You can not remove the screen because you will get from the animals when the fan is off. If the screen is clean, it is not a problem. When installing fans like that I've always mounted on a card and put the board on hinges. After the fan is used for one season to the screen begins to clog with lint, insulation, dust or dirt. The space opens increasingly restricted and the screen should be cleaned. The hinges make it as simple as that. (Simply screw the other side) mounted rooftop exhaust fans require less work to install properly, have a bigger screen spaced on them, but are installed outside (Rooftop). Remember that the fan is only part of the ventilation system ". Adaquate incoming air (open air) must be provided and what is generally available is severely inadaquate. Look on the box that came with your fan needed for incoming air. In cases provide adaquate incoming air, I bought two fans gear (so that the MRC was matched) and flipped the one to blow air "to prevent insects and weather, I also had to install a motorized damper (outside of the air entering fan.) Both fans (and the motorized damper) have been energized by the thermostat attic itself. This system has been very good to keep the attic cool where I could not make an opening big enough for outdoor adaquate. (Slate roof and no soffits)
