Negatively charged ions are safe for your health?
I'm looking to buy the air purifier RabitAir Biog. According what I heard in the past, I heard that negatively charged ions are bad for your health. Now I read that they are actually good for your health and it is ozone which is bad for your health. The biogas RabiAir claims that it produces negatively charged ions and produces no ozone at all. It would be a good good thing?
They do an excellent job of clearing and cleaning the air, but you will likely to dust more often. Negative Ion fountains are great for clearing the air. We use in our wood shop to drop the airborne dust and eliminate certain odors stains and varnishes. That we have produced some ozone, because it is very effective cons suspended bacteria and VOCs. The only drawback of these devices is keeping the filters clean. They will also cause dust to accumulate surfaces because the more ions are everywhere and cause dust particles to be loaded which then attracts surfaces in your home, sometimes even before they can get to the filter.
